The Full Story...
Three months in "lockdown" during The Pandemic and you learn some things. I learned that if I wrote steadily day in and day out I can make it to six hundred (yes 600!!) pages. Jet's Set is part biography, part cautionary tale, and all love letter to NYC and those lucky enough to be coming of age in that era. Before social media, before smart phones, before reality TV, before 2008, before, during and shortly after 9/11. It was the last time you used the card catalogue at the library, you couldn't shop online just yet and ComicCon was still niche. Things were black and white and representation was limited at best. It was a special time and Jet's Set gives you a glimpse of all of it. The best part? You can feel all the feels with one click!

Where It All Starts...
Picture It: Brooklyn, 1999. Meet Bridget A. Littlejohn
A dorky, bookish, pimple faced ninth grader, first-gen Haitian American Girl has to leave the bullies in Flatbush for a new crop of bullies in Williamsburg. Can she survive her first year without getting tease, beat or pregnant? You're more than the reader, you're her diary and she has the goods on everyone.
Welcome to Tenth Grade
Back from a summer in Europe, Bridget's back and ready to... The bullies aren't as bad, her hair is bone straight, and the boys are starting to notice; two in particular. Who's Jet going to pick? Should she go with the perfect on paper Sly and be his homecoming queen or will it be Elton, the one that knows her in a way one they understand? And who's that coming around the corner entertaining both the boy's attention? Things. Get Scandalous.

Things... Get...Violent
Everyone in The Set is choosing violence. Pick your side and pick your weapon because after what happened at the end of Handle Your Scandals, every member outside and in are roped into the massive secret. Who stays friends? Who's going the ER? Who's pregnant? The tea is scalding and everyone's slated to get third degree burns... SugarHoneyIcedTea is hitting the fan. Duck and cover.
Eleventh Grade Sucks...
SATs. College tours. Recruits. Career planning. Add a terrorist attack the first week of school and it it's bound to make Jet and her friends rethink everything. All the childhood follies are over and decisions have to be made. What school should I go to? Should I go to school? Should we marry? What do I really want to do with my life? Who the hell am I?
What's next for our friends?
